Dana Air’s Resilience Recognised, Bags ATQ's Most Stable Domestic Carrier Award


…Promises To Hit 7.2 million Passengers Airlifting In Q1 2020


In its quest to continue to provide exemplary services to Nigerian air transport patrons despite challenges, Dana Air as been adjudged, ‘Most Stable Domestic Airline in Nigeria’ in 2019.

The multiple award-winning airline won the award as the Most Stable Airline in Nigeria at the 2019 Air Transport Industry Awards held recently in Lagos.

The Editor-in-Chief of Air Transport Quarterly Magazine, Prince Supo Atobatele while speaking during the ceremony said the award is in honor of some of the industry's finest individuals and Corporate bodies whose penchant for hard work, innovation and capacity building  has not only greatly improved the business of air transport but enhanced safety of the air space.

 Atobatele said: Dana Air bagged the award as a result of her consistency and stable operations offering safe and reliable air transport in the past few years.

Reacting to the airline's award as the most stable domestic carrier, the Media and Communications Manager of the airline, Kingsley Ezenwa said, ''the reward for hard work is more work. There is no better way to end the year 2019 than a recognition like this.''

We have been here for the past 11 years doing what we know how to do best passionately and persistently. With a fleet size which we have progressively grown to 9 aircraft, our target is to hit about 7.2m flown passengers by the first quarter of 2020.  We are orderly and we like to take one step at a time. We are presently consolidating while sticking to our strategic fleet and route expansion plan.''

Ezenwa dedicated the award to the airline's customers for their loyalty and support for the last 11 years and reassured them of the airline's commitment to continue providing safe, comfortable, on time and reliable air transport.

Nigeria To Host ICAO Air Services Negotiation Event In 2022 (ICAN2022)

At the just concluded  thirteenth ICAO Air Services Negotiation (ICAN2021) Event  hosted by the Aeronautica Civil of Colombia from 6 to 10 December 2021  in Bogota, Colombia, it was announced that Nigeria will be the next host of the 2022 edition.   In an acceptance response, Sen. Hadi Sirika, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation during the closing ceremony in Bogota said: “On behalf of the nation, it is more than an honour as we are considered as a good candidate that will host ICAN 2022. Aeropolitics: Nigeria Suspends Emirates Flights To Lagos Approves Once Weekly Flight To Abuja from Dec. 12, Due To 3 Slots Refusal on Air Peace By GCAA

UAE Refused Air Peace 3 Slots Despite Getting 21 From Nigeria-Capt. Musa   Nigeria Government has again suspended Emirates Airlines flights to Lagos but approves only one-weekly flight to Abuja due to how Air Peace was treated by denying the country’s only airline flying to Sharjah in United Arab Emirate(UAE) 3 slots but approved only one-weekly flight.   The withdrawal on Emirates takes  effect from December 12, 2021, Emirates Airlines can now fly into Abuja (Nigeria) just once weekly on Thursdays, while its Lagos flight is suspended.   Capt.
