  Emirates (EK) has announced recommencement of flight operations to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja  both in Nigeria, starting from tomorrow (5 February 2022).  The airline said it will operate to and from Abuja and Lagos with daily flights, providing more choice, comfort and enhanced connectivity for travellers connecting to Dubai and over 120 destinations.   “Emirates will operate to Abuja with EK 785 and 786. EK 785 will depart Dubai at 1100hrs, arriving in Abuja at 1540hrs. The return flight, EK 786 will take off from Abuja at 1900, arriving in Dubai at 0435hrs the next day,”said the carrier. “Emirates flight EK 783 to Lagos will depart Dubai at 1030hrs, arriving in Lagos at 1540hrs. The International Air Transport Association, IATA has thrown its weight behind the newly unveiled International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Health Master List,  said it is ‘Critical Enabler’ of its own One ID program.   In welcoming the creation by ICAO, of a global directory of public keys required for authentication of health credentials, IATA said: “The directory—called the  Health Master List (HML) —will make a significant contribution to the global recognition and verification (interoperability) of government issued health credentials.” In solving the issue concerning authentication of health certificates at border authorities, IATA assures that ‘A public key enables third parties to verify that a QR code displayed on a health credential is authentic and valid. The International Civil Aviation Organisation,ICAO in order to put an end to disparities on authentication of Covid-19 related certificates such as vaccination and test results has published an instrument called Health Master List. ...AIB-N, NCAT rekindle synergy on capacity building for aviation development    The Accident Investigation Bureau of Nigeria (AIB-N) is embarking on building a world-class aircraft accident investigation training institute in the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. This project is positioned to be the first on the continent of Africa and it is 90 per cent completed. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has issued the Air Operators Certificate, AOC to Xejet. The new premium airline after the completion of the certification processes received the document at the NCAA office at the Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos.   Capt. Musa Nuhu, the Director General of the NCAA during the presentation of the AOC said: “I must say, to go through this certification process is not an easy thing. I am aware that effectively this process took almost 1 year?
