...AIB-N, NCAT rekindle synergy on capacity building for aviation development    The Accident Investigation Bureau of Nigeria (AIB-N) is embarking on building a world-class aircraft accident investigation training institute in the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. This project is positioned to be the first on the continent of Africa and it is 90 per cent completed.     Dana Air is reintroducing its early morning flights from Abuja to Lagos from February 1, 2022, as more aircraft are back from maintenance.     “With more of our aircraft back to full service after comprehensive maintenance, we are introducing additional flights but most importantly our early morning flights from Abuja to Lagos and other destinations from February 1, 2022,”said Kingsley Ezenwa, the carrier’s spokesperson. “The introduction of this service is a precursor to our intention and strategic plan to expand further up north while consolidating on our existing route network.”   On another note, the airline announced retirement of one of its captains, Kolawole Shokunbi. “We are also pleased to announce the retirement of one of our captains on our B737 aircraft - Captain Kolawole Shokunbi after an illustrious 44 -year highflying career abroad and in Nigeria.”   Speaking at a brief retirement ceremony organised for him, Captain Kolawole Shokunbi said, ''this grand welcom

Xejet Receives AOC From Nigeria CAA

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has issued the Air Operators Certificate, AOC to Xejet. The new premium airline after the completion of the certification processes received the document at the NCAA office at the Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos.   Capt. Musa Nuhu, the Director General of the NCAA during the presentation of the AOC said: “I must say, to go through this certification process is not an easy thing. I am aware that effectively this process took almost 1 year? Having gone through this process, we are elated and delighted because what that means is that you have brought yourself to compliance in conformity with our regulations. Flying Car Approved For Flight As AirCar Receives Certificate Of Airworthiness From Slovakia CAA

  A new milestone has been recorded in the global air transport industry as Klein Vision's AirCar ‘dual-mode car-aircraft’ approved to fly and received Certificate Of Airworthiness from Civil Aviation Division of Transport Authority of Slovakia. .   AirCar announced through a statement that the dual-mode car-aircraft vehicle has been issued the official Certificate of Airworthiness by the Slovak Transport Authority, following the successful completion of 70 hours of rigorous flight testing compatible with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, with over 200 takeoffs and landings.   The challenging flight tests included the full range of flight and performance maneuvers and demonstrated an astonishing static and dynamic stability in the aircraft mode. Dana Air In CSR Gesture Donates To Old People's Home And Orphanages In Lagos
